CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Aaron Brand’s Vance High School Cougars are exceeding nearly everyone’s expectations in 2014. The Cougars are regional semifinals-bound following Friday’s 21-19 win against 16 seed Ragsdale. The Cougars earned the right to host a second round playoff game following top seed Dudley’s forfeit, and the Cougars took advantage.
After struggling offensively, the Cougars got it rolling and went on to win 21-19. Vance will face Rocky River for a berth in the state semifinals.
