Versatile Stanley Johnson has Mater Dei atop the Super 25

Mater Dei, the No. 1 team in the Super 25 boys basketball rankings, is 25-0 and a big reason is the play of Stanley Johnson. Dubbed “Stan Man” by Team USA teammate Tyus Jones, The 6-7 Johnson is capable of playing multiple positions, including point guard, for the Monarchs and his versatility makes it difficult for teams to focus on him.

The Arizona signee was recently selected for the McDonald’s All-American Game. He wears the same number (41) as his mother, Karen Taylor, who played professionally in Sweden, Denmark and Italy and in college for Jackson State.
