We’re at the point in the high school hoops season where there’s an incredible buzzer beater almost every day. Tuesday was no different, and even included a game-winner thanks to Nick Stroeher from the Omaha, Nebraska area.
Stroeher competes for Millard North, where he’s a sophomore shooting guard for the Mustangs. During North’s game against crosstown rival Millard West, Stroeher found his squad down 50-48 with just 2.4 seconds remaining on the clock. That was just enough time to get the guard an inbounds pass and watch him heave a one-handed prayer at the rim.
The result? Nothing but net.
The wild win was the second of the season for the Mustangs who previously topped Lincoln North Star 54-37 on opening night. Needless to say, this was far more dramatic and comes with better bragging rights.
