Angela Bracco poured in 15 kills, eight digs and three aces Friday, leading her Arlington High School volleyball team past visiting Our Lady of Lourdes, 25-13, 24-26, 27-25, 27-25, in Freedom Plains.
“It was a really good matchup,” coach Maria Greenwood said after her Admirals improved to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in league action. “Lourdes’ defense really picked up a lot and made us work for every point. Our chemistry was on today.”
Gianna Repicky contributed 15 kills, nine digs, three aces and a block toward the winning effort. Teammate Rachael Torella added 24 assists, nine digs, four aces, three kills and two blocks.
Lourdes (3-1) received 34 assists from Joanne Gregory. Briana Garnot added 14 kills, nine digs, four blocks and two aces, while Colleen Connaughton finished with seven kills and four blocks.
Arlington travels to Carmel on Monday.
Pawling 3, Beacon 1 — The Tigers fought past the host Bulldogs, 25-23, 23-25, 25-23, 25-18, led by Clara Lombardo’s 17 kills and seven aces.
“Clara Lombardo had one of the best matches she ever played,” Pawling coach Jessica Pulford said. “I think she’s gaining a lot of confidence on the outside. It’s exciting to see her develop as a hitter.”
Jaclyn Smith added 17 assists and nine kills, and Nicolette Smith had 20 digs.
For Beacon (3-2), which visits Hendrick Hudson Tuesday, Lauren Schetter had 13 kills and 12 assists, and Leandra Echi chipped in eight kills and six blocks.
Pawling (2-2) hosts North Salem Monday.
Franklin D. Roosevelt 3, Webutuck 0 — Sarah Hof’s 10 aces and six kills led the Presidents, who won at home, 25-8, 25-8, 25-9.
Alyssa Dam added three aces, two kills and two blocks for Roosevelt.
Wallkill 3, Dover 0 — The Dragons’ Irena Henry had eight kills in a 25-23, 25-23, 25-16 road loss.
Taylor Ball added 11 assists for Dover (3-1).
Rhinebeck 3, Poughkeepsie 1 — In her Hawks’ 25-10, 25-18, 18-25, 25-12 victory at home late Thursday, Sam Sherwood paced the victors with 13 digs, 12 kills, nine aces and four assists.
Bailey Hutchins provided 23 assists, four kills, four digs and three aces to the winning effort.
Marlboro 3, Saugerties 0 — The Iron Dukes rolled on the road late Thursday, 25-7, 25-22, 25-19, led by Taylor Orszewski’s 10 kills.
