Vote: Grosse Pointe South still in running for best girls athletics program in America

By

USA TODAY sports is hosting yet another fan-vote competition in the high school ranks. This time, they’re looking for help in determining which school has the best girls sports program in the country.

The Michigan representative for this six-school competition in Region 4 is Grosse Pointe South. The Blue Devils feature “top-five state finishes in field hockey, golf, soccer, tennis and swimming and diving. The basketball team was Class A runners-up in 2012 and 2013, but it’s track and field (state titles in 2011, 2012, 2013) and ice hockey (2011, 2012) that have dominated Division 1,” according to USA TODAY.

The other schools in Region 4: Carmel (Ind.), Nashville (Ill.), Park Hills (Ky.) Notre Dame Academy, Green Bay (Wis.) Notre Dame Academy and Cincinnati Ursuline Academy.

Cast your vote here. The voting ends on Monday. The national round will end May 30.
