Owen alum David Weaver is returning to Portugal to play his latest season of professional basketball.

Weaver has agreed to a contract with MKS Dabrowa Gornicza.

He was part of a different team from Portugal (Benifica) for a national-championship run last season. Weaver averaged 7.4 points and 4.1 rebounds in 30 games.

Since graduating from Wake Forest University in 2010 (the power forward/center appeared in 121 college games), Weaver has also played professionally in Germany, Greece, Lithuania, Poland and the Ukraine.
