Ansley Davenport scored 18 points as Newport Central Catholic held off Cooper 58-52 on Wednesday night.

Loren Zimmerman added 11 points to help pace NewCath. The game was close throughout, but NewCath was able to knock down 13-of-14 free throws to help ice the game

St. Henry 56, Ludlow 22: Sophomore guard Marlena Kellam scored a team high eight points, leading St. Henry to the victory and a 2-0 record to start the season.

Ludlow sophomore center Haley Warndorf led all scorers with 11 points.

Lloyd 52, Bellevue 48: Bellevue fought back from a 24-17 halftime deficit to get within two in the final 10 seconds, but Lloyd held on for the win.

With the score 50-48, Lloyd broke the Bellevue full-court press to get an easy layup with under five seconds remaining to seal the win.

Shamaya Behanan led all scorers with 17 points for Lloyd, while Kira Ross led Bellevue with 13.

Holmes 56, Boone County 50: Tyrah Englemon scored 14 points, and connected on 8-of-11 free throws to help Holmes hold off Boone County.Jynea Harris added 13 points for Holmes.

Sydney Foster and Alexis Switzer each scored 12 for Boone, but Holmes knocked down 28 free throws to seal the win.
