Abby Alexander (South Gibson, Def.)
Alexander scored 48 goals for the Lady Hornets over the last two seasons, but this year, she will be moving to a defensive fullback position because of her abilities on the backline. Her leadership should help South Gibson be successful this season.
Micah Blundell (Lexington, Mid.)
Blundell plays as a centermid for the Lady Tigers and scored 12 goals and added six assists last season. The flow of the Lexington offense runs through Blundell as she tries to control the tempo of the match. She will be key if the Lady Tigers are to be successful this season.
Anna Ferrell (Jackson Christian, For.)
Ferrell and junior Amelia Grizzell are a dangerous duo on attack for the Lady Eagles. Ferrell scored 20 goals and added 14 assists last season, and this year’s totals should be just as good. She has the speed to breakdown any defense in the area.
Rachel Giampapa (USJ, For.)
Giampapa is one of many players on the Lady Bruins’ squad that can attack the goal well. She finished last season with 20 goals and eight assists. Giampapa has felt the excitement of winning a state championship, and she is ready to lead her team back to the top.
Cameron Greer (Chester County, Mid.)
Greer is strong midfield player for the Eaglettes with a great ability to make runs up the field to help in attack, but she is also smart about getting back to help out the defense and stop any counterattack. She is a key part of Chester County’s gameplan in the middle of the field.
Georgia Hopkins (Jackson Christian, D/M)
Hopkins has a great ability at marking players in the midfield and on defense in an attempt to make them a non-factor in the game. Jackson Christian lost one defender off of last year’s squad, so the Lady Eagles should be well structured in the back.
Madison McKnight (Madison, For.)
McKnight is the only returning forward for the Lady Mustangs this season. She will be called upon to make some good runs and be consistent in scoring if Madison is going to find success this season. She will also have to be that senior leader.
Destiny Morris (Chester County, GK)
Morris is key for the Eaglettes on defense. She finished with 63 saves last season and six clean sheets. Chester County was one match away from a trip to the Class A-AA state tournament, and with Morris in goal, the team has the chance to advance there again.
Madison Perchik (USJ, Mid.)
Perchik has the quickness and ability to cross the ball better than most midfielders in West Tennessee. She lays perfect balls in the box for her forwards to score off of. Perchik is another of the USJ seniors looking to win a state title to end her great career.
Shelby Williams (USJ, Def.)
Williams earned The Jackson Sun’s 2013 Defensive Player of the Year for her play anchoring the Lady Bruins’ back line. Williams scored both goals in the win over ECS in the semifinals last year. She will be hungry to keep clean sheets and lead her team back to state.
