Friday night a host of schools will hold scrimmages on the gridiron getting ready for the season.
Westside head coach Shedrick Risper says he’s ready for his guys to have a break out season.
Last year the Seminoles fell in the first round of the playoffs.
Risper says they lost thier starting quarterback Jarquavious Walker to graduation, and he may use a two man system in that slot.
And long range he says its time for Westside to get a reputation across Georgia.
“I think the kids in our program now they know the expectations of Westside,” Risper explained, “And we don’t want to be compared to teams locally we want to compare to the good teams across the state and that’s what we try to hold our standards to.”
The ‘Noles will open up against Rutland later on this month.
