With a fourth-place finish at Wednesday’s WIAA Division 1 boys golf regional at Quit Qui Oc golf course in Elkhart Lake, Manitowoc Lincoln qualified as a team for sectionals which the Ships will host at Branch River on Tuesday.
Lincoln finished with a team score of 326, narrowly edging out fifth-place West Best West (331), and ensuring a place at sectionals as the top four teams and top four individuals not on a qualifying team advance.
The Ships were led by Sasha Oosting, who carded a 7-over, 79, which tied her for seventh overall.

Division 3 Howards Grove Regional
While neither Mishicot or Reedsville advanced to Wednesday’s D3 sectional at Kohler, the Indians Kyle Curry qualified individually.
Curry shot a 21-over, 93 at Sheboygan Town and Country to pace Mishicot (t-sixth, 384). Also for the Indians, Erik Morreau tied for the final individual spot but lost on the first playoff hole.
Leading the Panthers (ninth, 409) was Nathan Dietrich (25-over, 97).
