The Mishicot softball team topped visiting Manitowoc Lutheran 5-2 in a WIAA Division 3 regional championship game on Thursday.

Kendra Krejcarek and Lindsay Bries each had RBI singles in the first inning to put the Indians up 2-0.

Emily Unke drove in a run for the Lancers in the top of the second to cut the deficit in half.

Mishicot enlarged its lead an inning later courtesy of a 2-RBI single by Kelly Junk.

The Indians tacked on another in the fourth to go up 5-1.

Lutheran’s Riley Schetter knocked a double in the fifth inning and came around to score on an RBI single from Kaitlin Radue.

Mishicot advances to face Winnebego Lutheran in a sectional semifinal on Tuesday in New Holstein.
