The Woodmore defense was no match for the Genoa ground game, as they gave up 403 yards in Friday’s 49-13 Northern Buckeye Conference loss to the Comets.

Genoa’s Jake Wojciechowski rumbled for 198 yards on 14 carries— including four touchdowns. Donte McClure added 132 yards on six touches for the Comets and teammate Nick Wolfe had 51 yards on three totes and scored twice.

Woodmore (0-10, 0-7) did get on the board late in the third quarter on a Connor Bringman 10-yard scamper. Midway through the fourth, the Wildcats scored again—this time on a 61-yard pass from Bringman to JT Atkin.

Bringman finished 10-of-35 for 144 yards with an interception. Atkin led Woodmore receivers with seven receptions for 84 yards and Todd Williams had 60 yards on three catches. Logan Fonseca had a team-high 58 yards on 13 carries.
