Kettle Moraine Lutheran quadrangular: The Winnebago Lutheran softball team went 1-1, beating Shoreland Lutheran 13-3 in six innings before falling to Lakeside Lutheran, 8-4, in six innings due to lightning.

Caitlin Rhode picked up the win for the Vikings in game one, striking out nine against four walks. Cassie Krueger went 4-for-4 in the win with a triple.

In the second game, Cassie Williams went 1-for-2 with a double for WLA, who gave up six runs in the top of the six to the Warriors.

“It was nice to get in two games before playoffs start,” WLA head coach Riley Westphal said. “We had a nice win against Shoreland but I’m just glad we had the chance to get the games in.”
