West Allis Hale Invitational: North Fond du Lac/Springs took part in the Bauer Brawl, finishing seventh out of nine teams despite bringing only five wrestlers.
All five placed in the top three of their respective weight class.
Noah Giebel highlighted the effort, grabbing a championship at 120 pounds by going 2-0 with a pin and then a 6-2 decision in the title match. He is now 11-2 on the season.
“Riley really wrestled well and controlled both his matches,” NFDL/Springs coach Doug Forsythe said.
Riley Behnke (106) and Nate Kilian (170) each placed second, winning in the semifinals and falling in the championship.
Michael Lozano (113) and Justin Pooler (145) each finished third, going 2-2 on the day.
“I thought our guys wrestled real well today. Probably the best tournament we’ve had so far,” Forsythe said.
