Phillipsburg 52, Delaware Valley 12: Marek Tomanek (285) recorded a pin for Delaware Valley, which won only three bouts.
North Plainfield 36, Pingry 33: Charles Thomas (285) won a 6-3 decision for North Plainfield over Pingry’s Kevin Chow in the final bout of the match. The Canucks trailed 33-21 before James Valley (195) recorded a pin and Amir Sai’d (22) won by forfeit to even the score 33-33.
Manville 48, Bernards 27: Josh Vargas (285) recorded a pin to start a run as Manville won the final four bouts after trailing 27-25.
Watchung Hills 34, Ridge 31: Alex Pollera’s win by forfeit for Watchung Hills at 126 pounds in the second to last match helped get the win, as it gave the Warriors a six-point advantage. Ridge’s William Schmidt (132) needed a pin in the final bout to force a tiebreaker, but could only manage a 9-3 decision.
Rahway 57, Plainfield 19: The Indians took the final nine bouts, two of which came by forfeit, after initally trailing 7-0.
Bound Brook 70, Belvidere 6: The Crusaders took 13 of 14 bouts in the rout.
