Millville Basketball Camp
Millville High School boys’ basketball coach Michael Jones is hosting a co-ed basketball camp at the Senior High School June 25 to 27 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. (grades 2-5) and 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. (grades 6-9). Penguins swim team
The YMCA of Vineland will hold a prescreening for the Penguins swim team on Friday at 7 p.m. The team is for kids between 6-18 years old who can swim one length of the pool on their front and back without stopping or assistance. The prescreening is for kids who haven’t swum for the YMCA before. On Saturday there will be a car wash fundraiser from 9 to 11:30 a.m. After that, there will be informational meeting for all parents at noon. The season goes from June 23 to Aug. 2. Vineland Midget Football League and Cheerleading
Early Registration runs June 6 and June 20 from 6-8 p.m. Cost for football players is $85 and fundraiser for jersey. Cost for cheerleaders is $80. Effective June 21, cost for football players is $105 for first child, $95 for second child plus fundraiser for jersey. The third child and more is $85 plus fundraiser for jersey. Children must reside in same household to receive discount. Registration will take place at the VMFL clubhouse on 3rd Street and Chestnut Avenue/Normandy Lane.
Millville Soccer Association Fall Season
Registration is now open. Recreation league cost is $60, 8v8 travel is $155 and 11v11 travel is $185. There is a $5 discount for each additional sibling. Online registration at www.millvillesoccer.com is open from June 1 to July 25. Online registration includes a $5 discount. In-person dates are July 8 and July 17 (6:30-8 p.m.) and July 26 (9 a.m. to noon). Registration will be held at 1400 McCafferty Blvd.
Star Bound cheerleading tryouts
Star Bound Gymnastics will hold cheerleading tryouts for the upcoming season on Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at 447 Landis Ave., Bridgeton. There will be an informational meeting on the squad on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. with practice afterward. Vineland Fire Department golf tournament
The Vineland Fire Department will host its 31st annual golf tournament June 30 at White Oaks Country Club in Newfield. The tournament benefits the Burn Foundation and Lloyd Ronchetti Scholarship Fund. Sponsorship opportunities range from $100-$1,000. Cost per foursome is $480.
