USA TODAY High School Sports is proud to announce the 2015 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Florida Football Team. Players were selected based on their athletic achievements from the 2015-16 season.

COACH OF THE YEAR: Devin Bush Sr., Flanagan (Pembroke Pines)

Bush led the Falcons to their first-ever state crown this season with a victory over Osceola in the Class 8A final. Led by the coach’s son, linebacker Devin Bush Jr., defense was Flanagan’s calling card. The Falcons allowed a measly 6.4 points per game in the state’s highest classification and posted three shutouts in the postseason.


OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: DeShawn Smith, Nature Coast (Brooksville)

Smith ran his way into the Florida record books this fall, piling up a single-season state record 66 total touchdowns and 408 points to blow away the former marks held by Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry. Smith rushed for 3,715 yards on the season at a ridiculous rate of 15.4 yards per carry.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Brian Burns, American Heritage (Plantation)

Burns was a menace for the Patriots this fall, recording 60 tackles (19 for loss) and 15.5 sacks. The U.S. Army All-American reportedly has a top two of Florida and Florida State.
