Detillier picked up his fourth state championship with Lutcher this fall, going 14-1 en route to the Class 3A crown. Playing local rival St. James in the title game, Lutcher fell behind 8-0 in the early going but remained composed and scored the next 41 points en route to a 41-14 victory.

Scott eclipsed 5,000 yards of total offense in his senior season to lead Zachary to its first-ever state championship. He piled up 3,039 yards through the air and added 1,963 on the ground and finished with 61 combined touchdowns, including five scores in Zachary’s 46-12 triumph over John Ehret in the Class 5A final. Scott is committed to Syracuse but will also be taking visits to Harvard and Wake Forest this winter.
