USA TODAY High School Sports is proud to announce the 2015 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Minnesota Football Team. Players were selected based on their athletic achievements from the 2015-16 season.

COACH OF THE YEAR: Jared Essler, St. Michael-Albertville (St. Michael)

After losing in the Class 5A state semifinals each of the past two seasons, St. Michael-Albertville broke through this fall to win its first-ever state crown. The Knights were 5-0 in one-possession games, including all three state tournament victories.

OFFENSE

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: J.D. Spielman, Eden Prairie

Spielman did a little bit of everything for Eden Prairie this fall. The Nebraska pledge racked up 1,259 rushing yards on 12.3 yards per carry and scored 26 total touchdowns.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Amani Hooker, Park Center (Brooklyn Park)

Hooker totaled 11 interceptions in 11 games for Park Center, adding 70 tackles. He also contributed on offense, passing for 1,047 yards and 14 touchdowns and adding another nine scores on the ground.
