COACH OF THE YEAR: Kenny Sanchez, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas)

When Tony Sanchez left Bishop Gorman last winter for the head coaching job at UNLV, the Gaels didn’t have to look far for a new coach. Tony’s brother Kenny was already the defensive coordinator at the school and an easy choice to keep the Gorman juggernaut on course. All Kenny Sanchez did in his first year was go 15-0 and lead the Gaels to a seventh straight state title and a second consecutive No. 1 national ranking in the Super 25.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Biaggio Ali Walsh, Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas)

Walsh was the best offensive player on the No. 1 team in the Super 25. The 15-0 Gaels averaged 50.5 points per game on the year, and Walsh accounted for plenty of them with 36 total touchdowns. He rushed for 2,451 yards on a tidy 12.1 yards per carry.
