COACH OF THE YEAR: Albie Crosby, Imhotep Charter (Philadelphia)

Crosby led Imhotep – a team that practices on a dirt baseball field with no goalposts – to a Class AAA state title and the No. 13 spot in the Super 25. The victory was the first ever by a Philadelphia Public League team in a state final. The Panthers featured eight seniors destined to play college football and many more underclassmen on track to do the same.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Brandon McIlwain, Council Rock North (Newtown)

McIlwain put Council Rock North on his back this fall and carried his team to its first conference title since 2006. McIlwain piled up 1,720 yards through the air and another 1,545 on the ground to go with 48 total touchdowns. Not only is McIlwain among the top QBs in the nation, he’s also an elite baseball player who will enroll early at South Carolina and play baseball for the Gamecocks this spring before joining the football team.
