USA TODAY High School Sports is proud to announce the 2015 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Rhode Island Football Team. Players were selected based on their athletic achievements from the 2015-16 season.

COACH OF THE YEAR: Chris Branch, Smithfield

Branch led Smithfield to a pair of major firsts in 2015. The Sentinels won their first regular season conference title by going 8-0 in Division IV play. And after a 35-20 win over Burrillville in the state final, Smithfield had its first-ever state championship.


OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Nick Andreozzi, East Greenwich

Andreozzi led Rhode Island in total yardage this fall with 2,771 yards. He threw for 2,382 and completed 67 percent of his passes while connecting on 39 touchdowns. He added another 389 yards on the ground and six more TDs to lead East Greenwich to the Division III state championship.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Connor Fitzgerald, St. George’s (Middletown)

Fitzgerald keyed St. George’s perfect 9-0 campaign and the team’s victory in the season-ending Kevin Flemming Bowl. He made 93 tackles and added three forced fumbles, two interceptions, two sacks and two blocked kicks to earn All-New England honors.
