COACH OF THE YEAR: Todd Dodge, Westlake (Austin)
In his second year at the helm of Westlake, Dodge may be on his way to establishing his second Texas prep football dynasty. The architect of Southlake Carroll’s dominant run of four titles in five years from 2002-06, Dodge led Westlake to the Class 6A-I state title game this fall. His squad upended Allen in the state semifinals, snapping the Eagles’ 57-game winning streak and perhaps shifting the balance of power in Texas high school football from Allen to Austin.
