2015 ALL-USA Washington Football Team


USA TODAY High School Sports is proud to announce the 2015 American Family Insurance ALL-USA Washington Football Team. Players were selected based on their athletic achievements from the 2015-16 season.

COACH OF THE YEAR: Dave McKenna, Gonzaga Prep (Spokane)

McKenna and the Bullpups brought a state title trophy back to their Spokane campus this fall for the first time since 1986. They won that trophy in style, upsetting Skyline thanks to a relentless ground attack that piled up a title-game record 564 rushing yards en route to the Class 4A crown.



The nation’s No. 1 senior quarterback lived up to the hype in 2015, throwing for 3,587 and 43 touchdowns while completing 70 percent of his passes. The Georgia pledge will play in the U.S. Army All-American Game and then head to Athens, Ga., as an early enrollee.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE YEAR: Evan Weaver, Gonzaga Prep (Spokane)

Weaver was the key cog in a Gonzaga defense that surrendered just 12.7 points per game en route to a Class 4A state crown. The Cal-Berkeley recruit recorded 122 tackles (36 for loss) and 23.5 sacks on the year while also recording 15 touchdowns as a running back on offense.
