Senior keeper Sam Carney is one of several key returners for second-ranked Ridge

1. Hunterdon Central (20-4) – The Red Devils are looking to shake off key graduation losses after going to the Group IV final last season, but return a supremely talented junior class to help ease the blow.

2. Ridge (17-3-1) – The green-and-white clad Red Devils will have to overcome the graduation loss of four-year starting superstar Jenny Haskel, but have plenty back to continue their elite ways.

3. Watchung Hills (15-6) – With a nice group of returners, the Warriors look to take the next step after going to the county final last season and cruising through the Raritan Division.

4. Westfield (13-5-2) – The Blue Devils are stacked and look to trend up after injuries dampened the past two campaigns.

5. Scotch Plains-Fanwood (21-1-2) – The Raiders lost a lot to graduation, including reigning Player of the Year Tori Baliatico, but have the pieces for another stellar campaign.

6. Bridgewater-Raritan (11-8-2) – The juggernaut Panthers were down last year, but never out, and will be a force in the county, conference and state once again.

7. Pingry (13-8) – The Big Blue could have a challenge in front of them with some big graduation losses and a thin squad back, but don’t put it past Pingry to be at the forefront, as usual.

8. Hillsborough (11-6-2) – The Raiders showed marked improvement, especially on offense last year, and seek to be a contender in the uber-competitive Skyland Delaware.

9. Governor Livingston (16-6-1) – The Highlanders are always a factor in Union County and Group II and that won’t change this year.

10. Somerville (16-3) – The Pioneers were decimated by graduation, but should have enough back and feature some promising newcomers that should make them the favorite once again in the Valley Division.
