GIRLS BOWLER OF THE YEAR
Vital stats: Pacacha led all Dutchess County bowlers and was second in the Dutchess-Putnam Interscholastic Bowling League with a 192.25 average in 36 games, six pins per game higher than her average a year ago. Her 697 high series was the second highest in the league. At the state meet she placed 13th with a 184.67 average over six games.
Quotable: “She truly is a team player,” John Jay co-coach Donde McIlwee said. “She’s always concerned about the team over her own individual score. She’s always encouraging other players. … She wasn’t rattled at all at sectionals, just very consistent. That amount of talent at such a young age — who knows in three or four years?”
Vital stats: The three-time Journal Girls Bowler of the Year finished her career with the third-best average in the DPIBL (184.82), before averaging 208.83 over six games in the Section 1 championships to make the state meet.
Quotable: “Alicia would be the first to admit that her regular season was not as good as last year, but she just focused on trying to help Arlington bowl as well as it could in sectionals, and we had our best showing in years,” Arlington coach Jim Golding said of the second-place finish. “Her quiet determination and competitiveness was on display.”
Vital stats: Bundy was had the third-highest average among Dutchess County bowlers in the DPIBL, 178.48 in 29 games. She averaged a 187 during the six-game Section 1 meet.
Quotable: “She was always a consistent performer during the year; even when she encountered challenging conditions, she was able to adapt and score well,” Golding said. “I look forward to her senior year at Arlington and expect another strong season.”

Vital stats: In 36 games, Burns averaged 174.86, placing her seventh in the DPIBL. Her 615 series was the fifth highest in the league.
Quotable: “Jillian is a great tactical bowler,” McIlwee said. “She knows what shots to make and when. She knows what to do.”
School: Roy C. Ketcham
Vital stats: The fourth-year sophomore’s average of 173.73 over 45 games placed her eighth in the DPIBL, though her high game of 257 was third best.
Quotable: Ketcham coach Ed Holsopple said Williams “has improved over the past four years. She is very determined to qualify for states and improve herself. Raylene works hard and is very focused to achieve her goals.”

Vital stats: Winant averaged 174.86 in 36 games, sixth-best in the DPIBL and fourth best in Dutchess County, with a high game of 242.
Quotable: “Dana would come through in big games when we needed her to and she was our lone senior, so she filled in that leadership role very well,” McIlwee said.
