Pocomoke at Wicomico
Dec. 10, 5:30 p.m.
The Indians (1-1) beat the Warriors (2-0) in both regular season matchups last year on the way to the Bayside title. This time around it looks like Pocomoke will have the upper hand after Wi-Hi lost 90-62 at home on Dec. 8 to Stephen Decatur. The Warriors have outscored opponents by 114 points in just two games and will look to use their athletic offense to overwhelm the Indians.
Dec. 11, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Dec. 12, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Parkside’s Holiday home tournament will feature ten teams across a two day event. Parkside, Wicomico, Snow Hill, Colonel Richardson, Mount St. Joseph (Baltimore), Northampton (Va.), Nandua (Va.), Arcadia (Va.) Peninsula Catholic (Newport News, Va.), and defending champion St. George’s Technical (Del.) are all slated to battle it out on the mat. There will also be a JV tournament held between Parkside, Stephen Decatur and First State Military Academy.
Kent Island at Pocomoke
Dec. 15, 6:30 p.m.
The Warriors (2-0) used a high-scoring outside attack to free up center Dynaisha Christian on Dec. 8 for a 54-33 win over Mardela at home. Pocomoke’s combination of inside and outside scoring will have to step it up when the Buccaneers come to town. Kent Island beat Mardela 70-28 and took down a strong Parkside team 64-44 on Dec. 4.
