Six area players were selected to the Associated Press all-state football team.
Bay Port senior offensive lineman Cole Van Lanen was one of eight players to be voted as a unanimous first-team all-state choice. It’s the second straight year the University of Wisconsin recruit was named first-team all-state.

Other area players named second-team all-state were Luxemburg-Casco senior offensive lineman Spencer Kanz and Southern Door senior receiver Mitchell Gerend.
De Pere senior running back Nik Ohuafi and Wrightstown senior defensive end Nathan Beining both received honorable mention all-state accolades.

The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder was perfect on extra-point attempts this season and made two field goals in the fourth of a 27-24 D3 state semifinal victory, including a 40-yard field as time expired. Pallini made 35- and 40-yard field goals in the D3 state championship game.
Kanz, a Western Michigan University recruit, helped L-C average 374.9 yards per game and win a D3 playoff game for a second straight year.
