The Mountain Home Sharks recently won the 7-year-old Cal Ripken North Arkansas state championship. The Sharks defeated Paragould and Siloam Springs in pool play, then defeated Rogers 9-4, Batesville 11-1 and Blytheville 11-4 in the championship game. Team members are: first row, from left, Tate Cudworth, Cobey McGowan, Bryce Kincade, Jake Brewer, Carter Adkins, Rhett Gilbert; second row, Jackson Corp, Eston Ford, Jake Brashears, Colt Crownover, Hunter Roberts, Jax Wescoat; third row, coaches Chris Cudworth, Kyle Brashears, Andy Wescoat and Jason Kincade.
