There was shift in the top 5 and Agnes Irwin from Pennsylvania vaulted 11 spots in the latest Super 25 Girls Lacrosse rankings provided by 3d Rising.

Manhasset (N.Y.) moved up from No. 3 to No. 2 after a 10-9 overtime victory against then-No. 6 Garden City, which moved up a spot to No. 5 in the new rankings despite the loss. Manhasset’s move was based on the strength of that victory.

Stephen’s and St. Agnes (Alexandria, Va.), which remains unbeaten, dropped from No. 2 to No. 3.

McDonogh (Owings Mills, Md.) remains in the No. 1 spot, as it has been all season.

Agnes Irwin, riding a 10-game winning streak moved from No. 24 to No. 13 thanks to a victory against then-No. 8 Moorestown (N.J.).  It was the Quakers’ first home loss since 2010.

Skaneateles (N.Y.) is one of two newcomers to the rankings this week, although the No. 22 Lakers were ranked for much of their season.

The other newcomers is Westwood, Mass., at No. 25.  Westwood will host Needham on Monday, which will match up the top two teams in Massachusetts.
