IndyStar is recognizing its eight high school American Family Insurance ALL-USA Indiana athletes of the week. For more information about our Indiana Sports Awards, contact Jennifer Brugh at email@example.com or Matt Glenesk at firstname.lastname@example.org. These athletes were chosen for the week ending Nov. 28.
CLARE CHANDLER, Park Tudor
Chandler’s victory in the 500-yard freestyle and the 200 individual medley in her meet last week reflects her superior attitude she has had since ninth grade, according to her coach. “The team has grown from an eight-girl squad in 2011 to a whopping 23 girls in 2015. This growth is due to Chandler’s leadership and enthusiasm.”
JAKE SISK, Pike Central
Sisk wrestled three matches this weekend and had three pins in the first three minutes of each. He also did not allow a single point to be scored against him for the second straight week in a row. Sisk outscored his opponents 15-0 this week.
CHASE MCQUEEN, Columbus North
McQueen captured a blue ribbon in the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 1.01 seconds against North Central on Saturday.
BRANDON YEAGY, Lafayette Central Catholic
