A look at the top 10 football performances from Week 4:

No. 1 Mario Armendarez, Phoenix Washington, QB, 5-10, 175, Sr.

Might be a first for player to get top weekly honors in a losing effort. But Amendarez set two single-game state records for passing yardage (756) and touchdown passes (10) in a 96-74 Division III loss to Avondale Agua Fria. He completed 38 of 76 passes and had two intercepted.

High school football Week 4 rewind: Special moments

No. 2 Chris Cofield, Agua Fria, RB, 6-1, 185, Sr.

Ran 31 times for 357 yards and seven TDs in the 96-74 win against Washington. He has 830 yards and 13 rushing TDs in four games.

No. 3 Spencer Rattler, Phoenix Pinnacle, QB, 6-0, 165, Fr.

Ran for a touchdown in the first half and passed for three TDs in the second half and completed a big fourth-down pass that put Pinnacle in field goal range to beat Phoenix Brophy Prep 32-31 in a Division I game.

No. 4 Jeffrey McGuire, Pinnacle, K, 6-0, 170, Jr.

After a timeout, McGuire just cleared the crossbar for a game-winning 47-yard field goal with 34 seconds left against Brophy Prep. He also made a field goal in the first half that gave Pinnacle a 9-7 lead.

No. 5 Kurt Shughart, Scottsdale Chaparral, SS/RB, 5-11, 211, Sr.

On offense, he ran 12 times for 103 yards  and two TDs in a 27-17 win over  previously unbeaten Gilbert Perry. On defense, he four tackles, a pass deflection and an interception.

Arizona high school football Super 10 rankings: Week 4

No. 6 Macarius Blount, Phoenix Mountain Pointe, RB, 6-0, 178, Sr.

Was a workhorse in Mountain Pointe’s 42-29 Division I victory over Chandler Basha, carrying 31 times for 266 yards and three TDs.

No. 7 Nathan Beyler, Phoenix Northwest Christian, DB, 6-0, 150, Sr.

He recovered a fumble and returned an interception 103 yards for a touchdown in the Division IV team’s 60-6 rout of Phoenix Cortez.

No. 8 N’Keal Harry, Chandler, WR, 6-4, 215, Sr.

Had his second straight 150-yards-plus receiving game, catching seven passes for 182 yards and two TDs in top-ranked Chandler’s 62-22 Division I victory over Phoenix Horizon.

No. 9 Azur Kamara, Phoenix Central, DE, 6-4, 220, Sr.

Had nine tackles and 2 ½ sacks in 31-6 Division III win over Phoenix Maryvale. He has 12 ½ sacks in the first four games. He also had two pass deflections against Maryvale.

No. 10 Garret Veldhuizen, Peoria Sunrise Mountain, RB, 5-9, 160, Jr.

He ran 10 times for 146 yards and five TDs and caught a 27-yard scoring pass in a 65-6 Division III rout of  Avondale La Joya Community. Veldhuizen also had a 42-yard kickoff return.
