Through the remainder of the 2014-15 school year, USATODAYhss.com/Cleveland will highlight five standout high school performances from the previous week. The top athletic feats will be deemed the American Family Insurance All-USA Northeast Ohio Weekly Performers.

Here are the top performances from last week.

Massillon Jackson freshman Taylor Mikesell: The talented hoopster, who helped the Polar Bears advance to the regional tournament title game, was recently invited to a USA Basketball U16 tryout.

St. Edward’s Kipper Nichols: The Ohio High School Basketball Coaches Association Player of the Year declared on April 16 that he will attend Tulane University and play college hoops for the Green Wave.

Holy Name senior Kyle Krucke: The Namer lacrosse standout scored eight goals in Holy Name’s 14-2 win against Cleveland Heights on Friday.

Parma’s Lauryn DeLuca: The nationally ranked wheelchair fencer won first place in the epee and foil at a national fencing tournament in Milwaukee over the weekend.

Black River softball team: The Pirates defeated Our Lady of the Elms (13-0) on Friday and Chippewa (4-1) and Firelands (8-2) on Saturday to win the J.B. Firestone Invitational Tournament.
