Throughout the final two months of the high school basketball season we will highlight five of the area’s stars, as seen on each edition of HSS 2Night Fridays on KREM 2 News at 11. They are our American Family Insurance ALL-USA Inland Northwest Weekly Performers.

Here are the top five players from January 19-24:

Lewis & Clark forward Naje Smith: 24 points (10-for-16 shooting), five rebounds, five assists, two steals and two blocked shots against Rogers.

Lake City forward Nick Hancock: 21 points, eight rebounds vs. Post Falls. Hancock is averaging 14.1 points and seven rebounds.

Post Falls forward Melody Kempton: 24 points, 13 rebounds and five blocks against Lake City. Added 12 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks against Lewiston. The freshman averages 14 points and 10 rebounds.

Central Valley forward Madison Hovren: 32 points, 15 rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block vs. University. The future Army basketball player is putting up 22.8 points per game and is 70 points from breaking the GSL All-Time scoring record.

East Valley guard Hannah Burland: 17 points (7-for-14 shooting), nine rebounds against West Valley. Against Clarkston she put up 25 points and 10 rebounds. Burland averages 16.8 points and six rebounds.
