In what may be the least surprising development in recent recruiting news, another Ball brother basketball phenom is heading to UCLA.
As reported by the Los Angeles Times, 6-foot-5 Chino Hills sophomore shooting guard LiAngelo Ball committed to the Bruins on Tuesday, where he will conceivably join his brother, 6-foot-6 junior point guard Lonzo Ball on a future UCLA roster.
Once Lonzo committed to UCLA, there were widespread expectations that Lonzo’s equally younger brothers would follow suit. Now LiAngelo has, and the pair’s third brother, soon-to-be-freshman LaMelo, will attract plenty of attention from college recruiters as well.
If his two brothers are any indication, coaches who aren’t affiliated with UCLA might just be wasting their time.
“Two down and one to go,” the teens’ father LaVar Ball told the Times. … “We just know what we want to do.”
