Luke Kennard highlights AP All-Ohio teams announced tonight

Franklin senior guard Luke Kennard was named the Associated Press Division II state player of the year tonight.

Kennard, a Duke signee, finished with 2,977 career points Saturday – he is second all-time on the Ohio scoring list.

Franklin coach Brian Bales was named an AP Division II coach of the year. Franklin was Division II regional runner-up.

Woodward’s Isaiah Jones was named to the second team.

In Division I, Wilmington guard Jaevin Cumberland (Oakland signee) was first-team all-state. Walnut Hills senior combo guard MaCio Teague was named to the second team.

Divisions III and IV will be announced at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Mr. Basketball is Wednesday night.
