Patriots get close victory
NEW MADISON, Ohio –
Tri-Village defeated Franklin Monroe 7-6 in nine innings Thursday.
Patriot Brandon Peters led off the ninth inning with a double and came around to score minutes later off an errant throw down the right-field line.
Tri-Village (6-7) will play home on Friday against Bethel.

UNION CITY, Ind. – Bryce Fields had two hits and four RBIs for Union County on Thursday as the Patriots halted TEC foe Union City 11-8.

Honkomp steals show in Bulldog win
UNION CITY, Ind. – Centerville knocked off Union City 11-0 in five innings on Thursday, and Bulldog starting pitcher Lauren Honkomp put on a show.
She faced 15 batters and struck out 14 of them, also knocking in three runs on the offensive end.
Kaylin Smith hit a three-run home run in the first inning. Amanda Wilson, Honkomp and Madison Clark led the Bulldogs with three hits each.
Centerville (4-3) will play on Saturday in the Wayne County Tournament.

Ryanne Spicer went 3-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs as Richmond defeated Winchester 18-8 Wednesday in five innings.
Chloe Bennett had two hits and three RBIs and Keara Henderson had two hits and two RBIs and Mackenzye Taylor, Paityn Farris and Emily Malone each had two hits.
Elissa Tilton and Hannah Goddard each had a hit and Tilton, Farris, Wilson, Malone, Taylor and Goddard each had an RBI.

Eric Underwood finished first for the Golden Eagles with 40.

Micaila Rosenberger won at No. 1 singles for the Patriots while Katelynn Whitely won at No. 3. No. 1 doubles team Anna Porter and Ally Fields won, while No. 2 double teams Maria Thurmer and Leah Makley also won.
Winchester’s lone victory came at No. 2 singles, where Emily White won.

No. 1 singles Sally Wilhoite and No. 3 singles Morgan Geise both won for Connersville, and the No. 2 doubles team of Shelby Brown and Taylor Steel also won.
For Lincoln, No. 2 singles player Libby Buhl won, while No. 1 doubles team Sara Maley and Jamie Buhl won.
It’s the first loss of the season for the 5-1 Golden Eagles, who remain an undefeated 4-0 in the Tri-Eastern Conference and head to Franklin County on Monday.
