INDIVIDUAL WRESTLING DISTRICTS
Division 1 At Portage Northern: Lakeview saw six wrestlers advance to the regional at Howell, led by a district championship performance from Brendan Stevens at 103 pounds. Additionally, both Jon Cox (160 pounds) and Brandon Rose (135 pounds) earned their respective 100th career victories. “Happy overall on the day. We brought in five potential backups who weren’t starters all year and they competed well,” said Lakeview coach Chris Dunham. “We had two freshman qualify out which is outstanding. It was a tough district. Making it you, you’ve got to earn it. It’s a great thing to build from and to do it with youth – we only one senior make it out.”

“That was big for (Taylor), they seed him third and he pinned all the way through,” said BCC head coach Louis Politte. “He had a real good day. I thought him and Kenny (Grayer) would make it. It was nice for Francisco (Lemus) to make it and he’s only a sophomore and for Donovan (Marshall) to make it out as a senior.”
