ASHWAUBENON – Ashwaubenon finished second at its eight-team invitational on Saturday afternoon, which included six of the top 15 teams in the state.
The Jaguars lost 5-0 to No. 2-ranked Kimberly in the championship game.
Morgan Zirbel led Ashwaubenon with two hits.
Carleigh Johnson had two hits, including a two-run home run, to lead Kimberly.
The Jaguars advanced to the title game with a 10-0 win in five innings over No. 6-ranked Germantown.
McKenna Morrow threw a complete game, striking out four and allowing three hits.
Jade Vandertie had three hits, while Zirbel, Karsyn VanLannen, Emilie Enke and Syl Vannieuwenhoven had two hits each.
The Jaguars also handed Escanaba its first loss of the season earlier in the day.
Breanna Schmitt allowed three hits and struck out five in seven innings, while Vandertie had two hits.

ASHWAUBENON – Kaylen Krueger had a three-run double to highlight a four-run sixth inning for the Hornets, who finished fifth at the invite.
Kelsey Hanke earned the win on the mound, while Rachel Piontek got the save. The two combined to allow five hits.
Jennifer Timm had a home run to lead the way for the Phantoms, who finished eighth.

ASHWAUBENON – Kaylee Francois hit a grand slam to fuel a nine run first inning for the Hornets. Kaylen Krueger and Katie Kugel each had three hits, including a home run from Kugel.
Brittany Baneck, Evelyn Hoge and Kelsey Hanke combined to allow six hits for Preble.

ASHWAUBENON – Kaylen Krueger hit a home run to highlight a 12-hit performance for the Hornets.
The game was tied 6-all after four innings, but a grand slam from Kimberly’s Sara Rosenow put the Papermakers ahead.
Preble committed six errors in the fifth and sixth innings.

ASHWAUBENON – Jennifer Timm, Morgan Vogels, Paige Schaefter and Bayli Holtschlag each had one hit for West De Pere.
The Phantoms allowed six runs in the first and fourth innings and were held to just four hits.

ASHWAUBENON – Tia Danforth went 2-for-3 and scored one run for the Phantoms.
Bailey Denis scored the other West De Pere run, while Jennifer Timm had a double.

DE PERE – The Ghosts took a 3-0 lead in the first inning and cruised to the win.
Trisha Drage had both RBIs for the Redbirds.
Peshtigo 4-11, Green Bay West 2-1
PESHTIGO – The Bulldogs stole home three times in the first game of a doubleheader sweep.
Sara Byrnes had both RBIs for the Wildcats in Game 1.
Seven players had at least one RBI for Peshtigo in the second game, with Amanda Majewski and Megan Behnke each finishing with two.
Southern Door 16, Sevastopol 1
BRUSSELS – Kelsey Pavlik blasted a two-run homer to end the game after three innings.
Megan Pavlik added two doubles and five RBI’s for the Eagles, while Ashley Wery was the winning pitcher.
