Chandler running back Chase Lucas and wide receiver N’Keal Harry, azcentral sports’ No. 1 dynamic duo in the state, paid a visit to Arizona State on Saturday as the Sun Devils went through media day.
Both came away wowed.
Does that give ASU the lead for two of the state’s most prized 2016 football recruits?
After spending most of Saturday at ASU, Lucas messaged me, “Visit was unbelievable.
“I loved every second I had there and hopefully I’ll be committing to my college soon,” Lucas added.
Coach T.J. Howard, a personal coach for the 6-foot-4, 215-pound Harry, accompanied Harry to ASU. Howard, who has worked with former Mesa High basketball star Jahii Carson in basketball, was impressed with coaches Todd Graham and Mike Norvell and the rest of the ASU staff.
“Staff is one of the best I’ve ever met in any sport,” Howard said. “I think N’Keal, (Scottsdale Saguaro cornerback) Byron (Murphy) and Chase have a long decision ahead of them.”
Lucas and Harry both narrowed their lists of schools last month.
Lucas’ seven are ASU, Arizona, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Texas, UCLA and Washington.
Harry’s 10 are ASU, UA, Louisville, Oregon, Oregon State, Texas, UCLA, USC, Texas A&M and Washington.
