Schulz struck out nine, walked two and scattered six hits during the Panthers’ 3-1 win over Stratford on Tuesday. Pittsville improved to 8-4 overall and 3-1 in the Marawood Conference South Division. The Panthers have won four of their last five games.
Pilz hit a two-run homer in the third inning to drive in the only runs of the game during a 2-0 Cloverbelt Conference East Division win over Loyal Tuesday. He also struck out nine, walked five and scattered two hits to earn the win on the hill as Spencer improved to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the conference.
During the first two games of the week — a 3-2 win over Medford on Monday, followed by a 4-1 win over Wausau East — Donahue struck out a combined 26 batters, while walking four and scattering 10 hits. With the wins the Tigers have won three of their last five and improved to 6-4 overall.
During two games last week against Rib Lake and Auburndale, Solatycki went 6-for-7 with a double, two home runs and 12 RBIs. The Panthers beat Rib Lake in a nonconference game, but fell to Auburndale during Marawood Conference South Division action.
