Jalen Perry scored 24 points and Corey Douglas added 21 to lead the Ballard High School boys’ basketball team to a 77-61 victory over Central on Saturday in the semifinals of the Republic Bank Louisville Invitational Tournament at Valley.
Ballard (16-2) – No. 2 in the state in The Courier-Journal’s Litkenhous Ratings – shot 52 percent (26 of 50) and advanced to face Doss (15-2) in Saturday’s 7:45 p.m. championship game. It will be a rematch of the 2007 final, which the Bruins won 70-53.
