THORNVILLE – Trevor Davisson’s walk-off single capped a four-run comeback as Sheridan earned a 7-6 win against Maysville on Monday in the Muskingum Valley League.
Maysville led 5-1 after scoring a run in the top of the fourth, but Sheridan (11-8, 7-4 MVL) chipped away, as Deryk Grosse cracked a two-run homer in the fourth and Andrew Paxton had an RBI double in the fifth.
After tying the game at 6 in the sixth after a two-out Maysville throwing error, the Generals got Collin Conrad in scoring position after Paxton sacrificed him to second base. Davisson then singled between third base and shortstop to send home Conrad.
Blake Wilson doubled twice and singled and Kameron Hartman doubled for Maysville (3-11, 3-8 MVL). Aaron Chappelear went the distance, allowing nine hits and one walk with three strikeouts.
Ross Holbrook doubled and singled and Conrad singled twice for Sheridan, while Grosse also doubled.
Colton Abram pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts to earn the win. He walked three and yielded nine hits.
