John Glenn’s Dylan Hague (1) and Ryan Long run off the field after Philo’s Patrick Henry is forced out at second base in the first inning of a game Friday in Duncan Falls. The Muskies defeated the Electrics, 3-2.

Visiting John Glenn took advantage of early Philo miscues to earn a 3-2 Muskingum Valley League victory on Friday, at the Philo Athletic Complex.

The Muskies (19-5, 14-2) scored twice in the first with one run off an error, but Philo’s Cody Wickham brought home a run in the bottom half on a sacrifice fly.

Both teams scored on an error in the second, and the Electrics (9-11, 8-8) stranded the tying run in the sixth and seventh innings.

Luke Klinehoffer had five strikeouts, no walks and allowed two runs on four hits in five innings for the victory, and Ryan Long earned the save with two scoreless innings for the Muskies, as four players singled.

Caleb Brassfield suffered the loss, giving up three runs on four hits with four strikeouts and four walks in six innings and Dakota Peyton’s double was one of five Philo hits.
