BASEBALL ROUNDUP: Scotties top Florence

Kyle Cope pitched a one-hitter and Marc Gronostajski’s bat stayed hot as the Bordentown High School baseball team blanked visiting Florence 10-0 in a Burlington County League game Monday.

Cope, a junior, struck out seven and gave up only a double to David Cartier in the five-inning contest.

Gronostajski is 6-for-9 with four extra-base hits and six RBIs in his last two games after ripping a pair of doubles and driving in two runs. Matt Kohnke knocked in three runs and Cody Schroeder added two hits and two RBIs for the Scotties.

Wildwood 7, Clayton 2: Brendan Bean drove in three runs with a pair of doubles and Anthony Korobellis chipped in with two hits and two RBIs as the Warriors prevailed in a Tri-County Conference game.
