BANGOR, Maine (NEWS CENTER) — A rainy Friday morning caused some postponements in the high school sports world, but teams playing on turf fields did not have to worry about that.
In Bangor, the Brewer Witches hosted the Bangor Rams at the Winkin Complex. A four-run first inning helped propel the Rams to a, 14-3, win over the Witches. Brewer’s Matt Pushard may have had the most impressive hit of the game, sending a towering solo-shot to left-center to get his team on the board in the first inning.
In Hampden, the Broncos welcomes the Vikings of Oxford Hills to its turf complex. The Vikings returned the warm welcome by handing the Broncos a, 9-3, defeat.
