MURFREESBORO — The District 7-AAA and 9-A tournament games have been postponed for Tuesday because of the icy-road conditions.
No reschedule date has been set yet for the 7-AAA tournament, which
is being played at Riverdale’s Johnny Parsley Memorial Gymnasium.
The 9-A tournament, which is being played at Eagleville, has been pushed to Thursday for the girls consolation and championship and Friday for the boys consolation and championship.
The District 8-AA girls consolation and championship games, which are being held at Cookeville High School, have also been postponed. No reschedule date has been set.
The 7-AAA girls consolation game features Smyrna and Riverdale. The championship game features Blackman and Oakland in a rematch of last year’s championship game. The boys consolation and finals also need to be played. Stewarts Creek plays Oakland in the boys consolation. Blackman and Siegel are in the championship game for the third consecutive season.
The 9-A girls consolation features Huntland and Moore County with MTCS and Community in the championship. The boys consolation features Community and Fayetteville with Huntland and Moore County being in the championship game.
The top four teams in each tournament advance to the region tournament. The TSSAA moved the start of the region tournaments from Friday to Monday because of the road conditions in an effort to give teams more time to get district games completed.
