After another perfect week, the record is up to 12-1.
Indian River at Laurel – Friday, Oct. 9, 7:30 p.m.
Indian River finally picked up its first win of the season, blowing out Seaford 48-0. Coming off that big win, I would have given them a slight edge over Laurel. That was until the Bulldogs beat Delmar. This game is going to be close. I think IR’s defense can hang but the key will be if they can score points, Bulldogs 21-20.
Caesar Rodney at Sussex Tech – Saturday, Oct. 10, 12 p.m.
Sussex Tech continues to grow as a team. They’ve had offensive wins and defensive battles and are 4-0. With CR’s new coaching staff, the Ravens will be heavily favored. That doesn’t change, 35-14 Ravens.
Cape Henlopen at Sussex Central – Saturday, Oct. 10, 12 p.m.
Head coach Bill Collick will be telling his Vikings not to sleep on Sussex Central. Despite three straight losses, the Knights are very capable at handing the Vikings their second loss. These two teams like to approach the game the same way – be physical and run the ball. Even away from home, Cape has the advantage, 24-21.
