Garaway took advantage of two errors during a six-run first inning en route to an 8-4 win over host Ridgewood on Friday in the Inter-Valley Conference.

Lexi Lingler drilled a two-run single to highlight the first for the Pirates, who improved to 11-3 and 6-0 in the IVC.

Samantha Wilson took the loss, allowing eight runs on seven hits with two strikeouts and no walks, while Erika Michael pitched four innings of scoreless relief, allowing one hit and striking out two.

Kendall Reidenbach earned the win, giving up one hit and fanning six in 5 2/3 innings, and Amber Immel and Allison Luneborg both had two hits.

Paige Patterson doubled to start a four-run rally in the fifth, which featured Michael’s two-run single for the Generals (4-10, 1-7).
