SAN FRANSISCO — Bishop Kelly graduate Josh Osich earned his first major league victory Saturday night.

Osich replaced pitcher Chris Heston late in the sixth inning.

Osich threw six pitches for five strikes against Phillies outfielder Jeff Francouer to end the inning.

Since his major league debut on July 3, Osich hasn’t allowed a hit in five appearances with the Giants.

The Giants held on for the victory against the Phillies 8-5.
